Job Role - CDP
Rate of pay - £26,000-£28,000
Hours - 35 Hours per week - No evenings (includes weekends)
Location - Wandsworth
Key Responsibilities
Note: working weekends is essential for this position. There are no evening shifts.
We are seeking a dedicated Chef de Partie to join our vibrant kitchen team at Bean & Hop. Working alongside our experienced Head Chefs, you will play an essential role in ensuring that our restaurant delivers high-quality meals consistently and efficiently. You will be responsible for ingredient and meal preparation, cooking, and maintaining food safety standards in a fast-paced environment. We provide a brunch menu, with a mix of British and north Mediterranean dishes, with a contemporary London brunch style. You must be fast and capable on a flat grill and also stove cooking. If you have a passion for fast-paced cooking, thrive in a team-oriented atmosphere, and are looking for eventual advancement, we would love to hear from you.
1. Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
2. Ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner to meet service demands.
3. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, including workstations and equipment.
4. Adhere to food safety regulations and hygiene practices at all times.
5. Assist with inventory management, including receiving deliveries and stock rotation.
6. Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations during service.
7. Help train new kitchen staff as needed, sharing knowledge of food preparation techniques.
8. Monitor food quality throughout the cooking process to ensure consistency.
Qualifications
1. Proven experience as a Chef de Partie, or in a similar culinary role, within a cafe or restaurant environment.
2. Strong knowledge of meal preparation techniques and food safety practices.
3. Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
4. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
5. A passion for culinary arts and a desire to learn and grow in the kitchen.
