The Trainee AWS Engineer will gain hands on experience and foundational knowledge in managing, deploying and maintaining solutions using Amazon Web Services (AWS). Under the guidance of experienced engineers, the successful candidate will help with configuring AWS infrastructure, optimising performance, ensuring security compliance and helping automate workflows. This role is designed to develop the technical skills, problem solving abilities, and understanding of cloud computing best practices. Learning core AWS Services and security best practise including EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, IAM and understanding security, scalability, and cost efficiency principles. Working towards AWS Certifications including AWS Cloud Practitioner and AWS Solutions Architect. Collaborating effectively with team members to monitor system performance and help to troubleshoot issues in AWS Supporting the implementation of Infrastructure as Code using tools like Terraform or AWS Cloud Formation. Learning to write basic scripts for automating tasks like backups, system monitoring, and resource provisioning. Working with AWS Engineers to design, deploy, and manage solutions and participating in project planning. Who are we looking for? IT or Science related qualification including degrees or apprenticeships and/or equivalent experience Basic understanding of Cloud Architecture principles and displays a good foundation of technical and analytical skills Good interpersonal and communication skills to be able liaise effectively at all levels within the business and Technology teams Excellent attention to detail and ability to understand technical requirements and complexities of various SJP systems. Proactive and seek guidance from more senior members of the management team where required.
