A school based in Birmingham is seeking a dedicated and results-oriented Student Welfare Coordinator to join their team. The school is ideally looking for someone with knowledge and experience of first aid and medical needs, combined with strong administrative skills. A positive, can-do attitude is essential, as are excellent communication skills and a commitment to safeguarding Key Responsibilities: Medical Needs Coordination: Be the lead first aider, responding to medical incidents. Assess students with medical needs, ensuring care plans and risk assessments are in place. Contact emergency services and communicate clearly access arrangements and casualty location. Maintain medical supplies, ensuring they are correctly stored, in date, and replenished (including first aid kits in minibuses). Manage student medication, ensuring safe storage, appropriate supply levels, and timely communication with parents. Maintain accurate and confidential medical records. Coordinate accident forms and maintain accurate records of all incidents and accidents. Student Services Administrative Support: Liaise with families regarding Parent Pay account balances and support account activation. Support parents/carers with Free School Meal queries and applications. Assist with hospitality requests. Assist with reprographic requests. Manage mobile phone and minibus booking requests. Provide assistance with duty rota cover. Conduct stock checks. Assist with day-to-day enquiries in Student Services. Collate bulk stationery orders. Who We're Looking For: Proven knowledge and experience of first aid and medical needs. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with parents and students from diverse backgrounds. Able to use Microsoft Office and have knowledge of other school systems. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
