Hormel Foods in the UK
In the UK, we have established ourselves as a growing player in the Frozen (SPAM) and Ambient (SKIPPY) categories, supplying high-quality products to major retailers and high-street channels nationwide. Due to continued growth, we are looking for a dynamic, results-driven National Account Manager to join our branded team (Hormel Foods Brand Portfolio).
Please Note- This is a hybrid role based in Leamington Spa (3 days per week in the office), where you will play a key role in driving brand growth across major UK retailers and channels.
The Role: National Account Manager
Reporting to: Commercial Sales Manager EMEA
Focus: Retail & High-Street Channel
As a National Account Manager, you will play a pivotal role in executing our commercial strategy, driving sales, and expanding market share.
Key Responsibilities
1. Manage & Grow Accounts: Maintain and develop strong relationships with key retail partners while identifying new growth opportunities.
2. Account Management: Address day-to-day account issues proactively, ensuring a customer-first approach.
3. Trade Marketing & Promotions: Implement trade marketing initiatives (in-store & online), oversee trade investments, and conduct promotional post-evaluation for ROI optimisation.
4. Category Management: Leverage insights to support category growth and strategic decision-making.
5. Commercial Strategy & Budgeting: Deliver plans in line with budget, ensuring sustainable growth and profitability.

Who We’re Looking For
The ideal candidate will have experience in Branded or Own Label FMCG with a strong National Account Management background. However, we are also open to:
1. Candidates with a Buyer/Retail background
2. Professionals at a more junior level looking for a step up
Essential Skills & Experience:
1. Graduate-level qualification
2. 2-3+ years’ experience in FMCG sales OR in a buying/category role at a grocery retailer
3. Strong analytical & numerical skills
4. Excellent multitasking, project management & prioritisation skills
5. Energetic and able to represent the brand positively internally & externally
6. Proactive & adaptable, with a team-player mindset and a passion for food
7. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
