ParadigmHousing Group is recruiting a Head ofSurveying to lead our newly combined SurveyingServices Team, playing a key role in shaping our asset managementstrategy and delivering an exceptional standard of propertymaintenance for our customers.
TheRole
As Head of Surveying, you willoversee all aspects of our surveying operations, including stockcondition assessments, EPCs, retrofit surveys, damp and mouldsurveys, party wall inspections and defects analysis andremediation.
This role combines strategic leadershipwith operational oversight to ensure that Paradigm’s propertyportfolio is managed to the highest standards. Working closely withthe Property Services and Asset Management teams, you’ll driveefficiency, quality, and continuous improvement across allsurveying activities, ensuring they align with our goals of valuefor money, high performance, and outstanding customersatisfaction.
KeyResponsibilities:
* Leadership & Strategy:Lead and mentor a team of around 24 FTE with three direct reportswhilst fostering a collaborative culture. Develop and execute arobust surveying strategy that aligns with Paradigm’s assetmanagement objectives.
* Operational Excellence:Manage all surveying functions, from stock condition surveys andstructural repairs to energy performance and estate improvements.Ensure adherence to regulations (e.g., CDM, Building Regulations,HHSRS) and compliance with Health & Safety policies.
* Stakeholder Collaboration:Build strong relationships with key teams across Paradigm,including Health & Safety, Customer Services, and Development,as well as external bodies such as local authorities andcontractors, to meet operational and strategic targets.
* Performance & DataManagement: Oversee asset data accuracy, manage KPIsfor property performance, implement a five-year stock conditionprogramme and oversee the design of our Decarbonisation Programme.Your insights will be vital in supporting effective decision-makingand continuous improvement.
* Customer and CommunityFocus: Lead the surveying team in providingefficient, customer-centred service. Respond to complaintsprofessionally and engage with resident groups to maintain highsatisfactionlevels.
AboutYou
To excel in this role, you willbring:
* A degree inBuilding Surveying or equivalent qualification(MRICS preferred) and at least 5-10 years of relevantexperience.
* Astrong grasp of social housing, assetmanagement, and property maintenance best practices.
* Extensive knowledge of building regulationsand safety requirements, including CDM and PartyWall legislation.
* Proven experience inleading large teams, with the abilityto inspire and engage colleagues whilst managing performanceeffectively.
* Strong stakeholdermanagement skills and the ability to communicatecomplex technical issues clearly.
