In this role, we are looking for a Data Archivist to work with us to identify data that is no longer active and move it from our decommissioned legacy systems into long-term storage tools. We are also looking for somebody who can proactively audit all of our equipment in the test centre and assist in identifying where we are lacking in CPR1053/PUWER.
* Using specialist tools to extract data/reports, then capture metadata (properties of the files), tag and store legacy test data in a new approved platform.
* Creation of legacy test data index & knowledge capture cards (as required).
* Digitise the Material Database CoC's (Certificate of Conformity).
* On request, perform analysis of data to better inform record creation, arrangement, and mark-up.
* Gauge data sensitivity and tag in accordance with the company's data management rules.
* Train colleagues to share the data storage solutions & how to retrieve the stored data.
* Work with colleagues to identify methods and workflows for future transfers of further 'legacy data' and capture in a "user guide" in accordance with the team's processes for knowledge management (e.g. creation of a team standard and Wiki page).
* Compile a list of databases used for storing, with a view of one tool to search all databases for users to find required components.
* Complete an audit of all equipment owned by the department, ensure it is logged in the tool (LabCat), print QR code and attach to the item, and then support in the generation of PUWER and CPR1053.
* Support the Calibration Lab in ensuring they meet UKAS and EASA requirements where all calibration documentation is stored correctly and is retrievable. Work with the calibration lab to ensure the archiving is correctly managed and stored in line with the company best practice.
* Experience of using record databases and data management archiving tools.
* Experience of implementing Digital Filing Structures.
* Experience of working with data in a technical or engineering environment would be an advantage.
