Job Description
We are currently seeking an exceptional Stock Controller to join our Harrods team on a full-time permanent basis.
A solid proven track record within a similar role in luxury or premium retail is advantageous however not a must.
Scope
1. Ensuring the stockroom organization to maximize the store productivity
2. Monitoring the stock levels and supporting the activities of the Sale Staff
3. Guaranteeing the stock and inventory control and managing
4. Acts as the point person for maintaining and supervising all the inbound/outbound merchandise as well as the maintenance and organization of all back of house stock and supply areas
5. Be a role model ensuring the highest level of client service
6. Represent the brand as an ambassador by promoting its values and ambitions within the market place
7. Key Holder (mandatory for Managers, optional for Supervisors)
Key Accountabilities
1. Manage the stockroom organization in order to contribute to the store productivity, in accordance with the DG directives and procedures
2. In collaboration with the store management, is responsible for:
1. Supporting the Sale Staff, ensuring efficient and fast replenishment of merchandise on the selling floor and shortening the waiting time of the clients
2. Training support on system and stockroom guideline to new stock keeper
3. Guarantee an effective people management of the Stock Staff:
1. Arrange and conduct monthly coaching sessions with his/her Staff to review performance and provide constructive, timely feedback
2. Handle the Corporate review process for the Stock Staff
4. Participate to daily store meetings to communicate current business trends, relevant updates and motivate the store employees to perform
5. Identify store maintenance issues, lighting concerns and work closely with Corporate to report, catalogue, prioritize and resolve areas that impact store structural function and image
6. Ensure receipt, quantities, tagging, deliveries of products, articles, and supplies in a timely manner
7. Prepare new items to be displayed in collaboration with the Sale Staff
8. Ensure replenishment is done systematically and accurately
9. Participate in store maintenance
10. Control and supervise transfers and all other operations in a timely manner
11. Supervise the flow of goods between storage and shop floor, prepare and control arrangement of articles
12. Follow daily placement of items for sale, in line with articles available in stock
13. Plan and undertake inventory operations, and be a stakeholder in monitoring loss-prevention and unknown mark-downs
14. Communicate on a daily basis with article rotation and propose remedial measures where necessary
15. Oversee and confirm all receipts, deliveries, outgoing packages, both retail and non-retail
16. Maintain loss prevention standards through awareness and adherence to store policies
17. Respond to Corporate regarding discrepancies, missing documentation, etc.
18. Guarantee the bi annual store inventory accuracy and set up quantitative targets related to inventory control
19. Be competent in cash procedures and operations and, if needed, provides support to the cashiers team
Guarantee:
1. Full knowledge of all shipping and receiving procedures and paperwork distribution
2. Inter-store transfers, RTVs and damages
3. Client purchases, consignments and transfers or deliveries to other locations
4. PR/Visual deliveries
5. Store materials, supplies and packaging supplies
6. Furniture moves, special event setup, etc.
7. Manage Staff uniforms (fitting, order, remittance, alterations, dry cleaning and spare uniforms)
8. Order office stationery, drinks and food and other relevant tools, coordinate with suppliers, control delivery and invoicing
9. Uphold grooming and styling standards
10. Perform other duties as directed
11. Specification addressed to Stock Supervisor in Agile Cluster
12. Contribute, in collaboration with the store management, in the execution of the administrative and back office store duties
13. Contribute to the BoH performance and activities in order to smooth operations and facilitate the collaboration between the FoH and BoH teams
14. Specification addressed to Stock Manager/Supervisor in Bottom Heavy/Bottom Heavy Multi-site Department/Top Heavy/Full structure Clusters
15. Support the store management in the execution of the administrative and back office store duties
16. Contribute to the BoH performance and activities in order to smooth operations and facilitate the collaboration between the FoH and BoH teams
17. Assure to be aligned with his/her FoH and also BoH colleagues
