We are currently recruiting an HGV Driver, working as a part of our Biosolids team. The purpose of this role is to drive and operate vehicles and plants to the greatest profitability and efficiency to deliver the Bio Recycling service within Thames Water sites and to external locations. To enter deliveries to the cake logging system as appropriate.
What you will be doing as a Biosolids HGV Driver:
* Safely operate vehicles associated with Bio Recycling services at Thames Water sites and external locations.
* Work collaboratively with other Thames Water employees across our sites to aid the efficient delivery of Bio Recycling’s activities.
* Responsible for carrying out daily inspections and maintenance of vehicles and communicating all defects.
* Represent Thames Water in customer-facing environments.
Working Hours: 45 hours per week. 7-day rotating shifts on a 5 on 3 off 4 on 4 off pattern.
What you should bring to the role:
* Experience with driving LGV and HGV vehicles in a commercial environment / Off-road.
* Ability to work on a rotational shift pattern including days and nights.
* Working knowledge of Transport law and the Road Traffic Act.
* Operation and basic maintenance of HGVs and LGVs.
