Telford and Wrekin CMHS provides assessment and evidence-based interventions for people presenting with complex mental health difficulties that significantly impact their daily life alongside our partner organisations.
The successful applicant will need to encourage effective engagement of this cohort of people, utilising excellent communication skills while maintaining compassion and hope through every contact. We are also keen to incorporate a trauma-informed psychological approach which aims to increase people's independence, working towards an improved quality of life.

Main duties of the job
To work within the Telford and Wrekin adult community mental health service:
* Delivering a high-quality clinical service to patients and their families.
* Managing a complex caseload.
* Responsible for clinical and caseload supervision of other team members where identified.
* Providing assessments and interventions into the clinical pathway.
* Delivering assessments and interventions in accordance with an agreed care plan to an identified group of people experiencing complex mental health-related difficulties.

Person Specification
Qualifications
* Registered mental health nurse (NMC registration) or Occupational Therapist (HCPC registration) or Social Worker (Social Work England).
* Post-registration experience, evidence of formal courses and training at diploma/degree level.
* BSc degree in nursing or equivalent level.
* Qualification in providing supervision/coaching.
* Evidence of post-qualifying training - e.g., Non-medical Prescriber or psychological intervention qualification including EMDR, CBT, CBTp, Family Interventions, CAT, DBT, systemic training.
Experience
* Evidence of extensive post-registration experience working with adults experiencing mental health-related difficulties.
* Experience of working with people who have difficulty in engaging with services and have complex mental health needs.
* Experience of working in a community setting and making decisions autonomously.
