R&D Manager
Location: Enderby, UK
We are seeking an experienced and innovative R&D Manager for our office in Leicester. This full-time, office-based position (with one day of home office possible) involves managing a team of 7 developers and 2 QA engineers working across our products. The ideal candidate will be able to manage multiple products, propose development strategies, stay abreast of technological advancements, and oversee delivery, quality, cost, and recruitment.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Apply knowledge to practical issues often relating to more than one functional area.
2. Provide overall direction for complex activities, offering guidance and input for any project.
3. Resolve problems requiring analysis of facts and general principles.
4. Manage work activities of the team through lower-level supervisors and individual contributors.
5. Conduct appraisals, provide feedback to employees, and handle teamwork allocations.
6. Adapt to various communication styles and interpret non-routine and conflicting information.
7. Apply knowledge of relevant policies and procedures to determine a course of action.
8. Exhibit good project and people management skills.
9. Interact with internal and/or external clients and customers to negotiate and interpret information on projects and unit operations. May consult with senior management.
10. Conduct project management, resource management, customer management, estimation, and release planning for multiple products.
11. Create a motivational and positive culture within the team.
About You:
12. Hands-on programming experience and strong technical knowledge with C# and .NET
