Tasks and Responsibilities
We are looking for an experienced Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) and Online Reputation Digital Marketing specialist who is proficient in on-page, off-page, technical, and local SEO, and is well-versed in the latest trends in online reputation management and marketing. The individual will lead SEO initiatives, focusing on scaling various websites’ visibility and search performance across diverse international markets. This position will collaborate with the digital media team to ensure a cohesive strategy between the disciplines and work directly with local markets. This role requires a strategic leader who can craft and implement comprehensive SEO strategies, optimise website infrastructure, and integrate SEO with overall business goals.
1. Developing and executing a regional SEO strategy that aligns with the company’s objectives and boosts DHL websites’ visibility and user engagement.
2. Developing and executing on-page, off-page, technical, and local SEO tactics that are scalable for European markets.
3. Monitoring and reporting on organic traffic contribution towards revenue targets across digital sales, online interactions driving in-store sales, Customer Service sales, and lead generation.
4. Conducting thorough technical SEO audits for each local site, identifying issues, and recommending effective solutions to optimise websites’ performance.
5. Collaborating with IT and web development teams to ensure SEO best practices are integrated into website architecture and new page designs.
6. Conducting thorough non-technical SEO audits and continuous analysis to identify strategic opportunities.
7. Assisting European markets to perform keyword research and competitor analysis.
8. Assisting European markets to understand the research data and deriving actionable insights.
9. Leading and developing content strategy that conforms to and sets out to achieve business goals.
10. Leading and developing Digital Partner strategy to increase visibility in various app stores.
11. Leading off-page initiatives to boost the quality and quantity of backlinks, thereby enhancing organic visibility and driving high-quality traffic.
12. Managing relationships with SEO agencies and technology vendors to ensure service excellence and alignment with our SEO goals.
13. Educating and training internal teams on SEO strategies and best practices to ensure SEO knowledge is embedded within the company culture.
14. Staying abreast of the latest SEO trends and changes in algorithms, applying insights to maintain competitive advantage.
15. Measuring and reporting on reputation management including reputation against competitors.
16. Managing and optimising online business presence via local listings management across Google and 3rd party platforms.
17. Developing and implementing cohesive reputation management strategies.
18. Conducting in-depth reputation monitoring and analysis to identify areas for improvement and mitigation.
19. Acting as a digital SEO and online reputation management consultant and coach, providing on-the-job capability building for local marketing teams and the broader DHL Express community.
20. Ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
21. Collaborating closely with country marketing teams and Digital Sales teams to identify innovative strategies for customer growth and acquisition.
Your Profile - Skillsets and Attributes
* 5+ years of SEO experience, including reputation management. App store marketing experience is advantageous.
* Proficiency in using data analytics tools such as Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, Looker Studio, Power BI, or similar platforms.
* Proficiency in using SEO tools (Google Search Console, MOZ, Semrush, Ahrefs).
* Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Statistics, or a related field.
* Professional certifications in digital marketing, such as Web Analytics, Google Ads or SEO certifications, would be advantageous.
* User Experience qualification – preferred but not essential.
* Proficient in English; proficiency in additional European languages is an advantage.
* Proven track record in developing and executing successful large-scale SEO strategies.
* Deep understanding of technical SEO, content strategy, and user experience optimisations with a clear track record of driving growth.
* International SEO knowledge and experience is a plus.
* Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and derive actionable insights.
* Hands-on experience with website content management systems (CMS).
* Excellent analytical skills and the ability to interpret data to make informed decisions.
* Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills to effectively convey complex SEO strategies to stakeholders at all levels.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple projects and deadlines.
* Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
* Confident with the ability to interact, communicate and present ideas to other countries' digital marketing managers and senior executives.
* Meticulous attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.
* Proactive and self-motivated, with a strong desire to continuously improve and learn.
* Results-driven, experienced individual that can reliably meet goals & deadlines.
