Our Team: We are looking for 2 x Senior Behaviour Analysts, Positive Support Service – to start February 2025 – Fixed term for 12 month to cover for Maternity. PBSS is an award winning service with an excellent National reputation for delivering high quality Positive Behaviour Support to individuals within their local community, offering support to people who engage in behaviours that challenge services. Typically the service works with people who have a Learning Disability or who are Autistic. PBSS is staffed by Board Certified Behaviour Analysts, assistant behaviour analysts and behaviour practitioners and was the first of its kind in the UK to be developed within the context of a Local Authority. Within the service there are 4 core domains: Technical Support: full functional assessment, development of a person centred intervention plan, supported intervention and exit and maintenance criteria. Crisis prevention: skilling up of mainstream services through training opportunities. Early Intervention: behaviour analytic support within education settings. Placement development: supporting people to move out of hospital or back to their local areas from out of borough placements. PBSS has a team of dedicated Assistant Behaviour Analysts and Behaviour Practitioners who support the Behaviour Analysts to complete assessments and deliver intervention. There is an emphasis on team work. Your Contributions: You will be responsible for a full caseload fulfilling the technical support domain of the service Delivering training to a wide range of stakeholders Contributing to work across all areas of the Liverpool City Region within different setting types Demonstrable experience of working directly with individuals utilising behaviour analytic approaches. You will be a Board Certified Behaviour Analyst (BCBA) or an MSc graduate in Applied Behaviour Analysis or Positive Behaviour Support with evidence of commitment to achieve BCBA status i.e. you are actively working towards this by gaining supervision etc. NB: you must be able to evidence you will be eligible under current standards, to apply for BCBA certification, prior to the Behaviour Analyst Certification Board (BACB) changes happening in the UK in 2025. As this role involves regular travel across the borough and sometimes further afield, a driving license and access to a vehicle are essential requirements.
