Randstad are recruiting for a Qualified Social Worker to join Bury Council's Education, Health and Care Plans team where you will support Children with Additional Needs. This is a full time role offering a fantastic pay rate of £38 per hour.

Responsibilities:
* Working closely with families, education providers, health professionals, and local authorities to ensure that children receive the appropriate support tailored to their individual needs.
* Conduct holistic assessments of children's educational, health, and social care needs as part of the EHCP process.
* Provide professional social work input to Education, Health, and Care (EHC) assessments, ensuring that social care needs are accurately reflected.
* Work in partnership with families to understand their circumstances, ensuring that children's welfare, safeguarding, and best interests are central to the planning process.
* Liaise with education, health, and social care professionals to gather comprehensive information for EHCPs.
* Contribute to the writing and reviewing of EHCPs, ensuring recommendations are evidence-based and child-centred.
* Act as a key liaison between families, schools, health services, and the local authority, ensuring a coordinated approach.
* Provide information, advice, and support to parents and carers navigating the EHCP process.
* Advocate for children and families to ensure they receive the right support and interventions.
* Participate in EHCP review meetings and multi-disciplinary team discussions, ensuring social care perspectives are represented.
* Work closely with SEND teams, educational psychologists, and safeguarding teams to ensure appropriate interventions and risk management strategies are in place.
* Identify and assess safeguarding concerns, making appropriate referrals in line with Children Act 1989/2004, Working Together to Safeguard Children, and SEND Code of Practice.
* Maintain accurate case records, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements and local policies.
* Ensure all interventions align with legislation, policies, and best practices within social care and SEND frameworks.
Requirements:
* Social Work Degree
* Social Work England registered
* Enhanced DBS
