Pupil Place Planning Manager
Location: East Midlands
Pay rate: £26 to £34 per hour
We are looking for experienced and passionate Pupil Place Planning Manager. The successful candidate will work towards the councils priority for the protection of vulnerable people, ensuring they can live as independently as possible. The post-holder will promote and engage with Council’s responsibility to safeguard the welfare of children, young people, and adults, and protect their right to be safe from harm. You will be required to conduct Net Capacity Assessments and consultation meetings on school premises.
The Ideal Candidate will have
1. Post graduate qualification relevant to the management post
2. Experience of using GIS Software, MapInfo Software, Collect database, Capita One & Microsoft Packages
3. Experience of using VDU equipment and an electronic measuring device.
In this role you will
4. Attend evening meetings and meetings in schools and other establishments will be required.
5. Work outside normal office hours will be necessary.
6. be required to attend Council meetings.
7. Provide strategic guidance on place requirement by providing up-to-date specialist advice on all matters related to the council’s statutory responsibilities for school admissions, appeals, children missing education, school organisation and related attendance processes including pupil place planning for EY, SENDI and mainstream pupils
8. Manage, monitor and evaluate associated resources to ensure they are well used and represent value for money, in line with local policy and procedure
9. Lead and maintain effective procedures and practices in all aspects of service provision including professional supervision arrangements, safe working practices and employment procedures.
10. Liase with Ofsted, DfE and Regional Partners to ensure sufficiency is delivered within expected timeframes and meets statutory requirements
