I'm looking for 2x Internal Account Managers to join an award-winning manufacturing business based in Telford.
The role of the Internal Account Manager is maintaining satisfaction and management of the day-to-day customer account activity allowing
commercial functions to be able to focus on growing and developing new business.
The Internal Account Manager will act as the interface between the operational aspects of the organisation and the customer with bidirectional feedback i.e. customer requirements filtering into the organisation and operational information feeding out of the organisation
back to the customer. The quality and timeliness of this information is of the essence to ensure excellent customer service is reached.
Role Responsibilities:
1. Establish and develop relationships with both new and existing contacts within the allocated customer portfolio to determine customer's needs, expectations, limitations, and requirements for the purpose of providing customer satisfaction.
2. Handle purchase orders from inputting orders into the system to updating orders to reflect any changes. General order book maintenance to support OTIF.
3. Proactive customer order management, contact customers with order resolution, current shipping information and corrective action on late or problematic orders. Maintain a high level of awareness and responsiveness to customer needs.
4. Demonstrate initiative in problem-solving, action any customer complaints quickly and efficiently taking ownership of the issue.
5. Manage any product returns in compliance with quality procedures, liaise with transport/warehouse to meet required timescales.
6. Generic 'Sales' inboxes maintenance.
7. Work closely with the External National Account Managers to deliver an excellent customer service. Provide support during new account set up.
8. Carry out customer reviews and Support the External National Account Managers to achieve monthly and yearly targets.
9. Participate in special customer projects and/or provide support to project teams regarding improvements, new items or changes to existing packaging.
10. Update and maintain internal systems with relevant information, ensuring data integrity and accessibility for all team members.
11. General administrative duties, as necessary to support the wider team.
12. Lead by example, promoting the Company's core values and objectives.
13. Understand and adhere to corporate policies & procedures.
Required Skills:
14. Working within an FMCG business
15. Demonstratable record of success
16. Experience in FMCG Forecasting
17. Has previous experience in building relationships with customers via phone, email or face-to-face
Desirable Skills:
18. Experience and knowledge of commodity driven products and pricing
19. Knowledge of the UK food industry
20. Experience with SAP
21. Experience in data input onto CRM systems
The salary is £28,700 plus an excellent benefits package.
