Rutherford Cross is delighted to be working with a manufacturing business based in Ayrshire to appoint a Finance Analyst. This role has a touch points across the supply chain function and the successful candidate would be working with budget holders measuring performance against budget, making cost recommendations where appropriate.
Role Purpose:
To leverage a broad set of accounting skills and experience to support reporting requirements, with a focus on working capital, supply chain costs, and forecasting. This role will deliver high-quality financial forecasting, analysis, and commentary, serving as the key finance contact for all supply chain-related matters.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead the coordination and review of working capital reporting packs for internal and group reporting requirements.
* Maintain and enhance financial modelling frameworks to support quarterly business forecasts.
* Analyse and challenge quarterly input assumptions from supply chain, material, and general supplies teams.
* Conduct monthly performance reviews with supply chain management to evaluate results against the annual operating plan and forecasts.
* Review cost variation reports to ensure accuracy and incorporation into bills of material.
* Collaborate with the Supply Chain Management team to review and address purchase price variances monthly.
* Regularly review and reconcile SAP Bills of Material with the Blue Book.
* Produce detailed and insightful financial performance reports.
* Manage large datasets efficiently, consolidating and presenting financial information using advanced IT tools.
* Serve as the finance liaison with external stakeholders, including auditors, customers, and suppliers.
* Deliver thorough reviews and analysis for annual budgets and quarterly forecasts.
* Monitor and report supply chain performance against budget and forecast.
* Foster strong, collaborative relationships across the organisation.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:
* Degree-qualified with relevant professional experience.
* PQ, QBE or recently qualified.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Advanced IT proficiency, especially in Excel.
* Proven ability to drive process improvement using experience and insight.
* Strong relationship management and stakeholder engagement capabilities.
