PLEASE NOTE THIS VACANCY IS FOR INTERNAL APPLICANTS ONLY Permanent, part time, 29.6 hours per week, 0.8 FTE (flexibility around how these hours are worked) Band 6 - £42,882 to £48,149 per annum, pro rata About the Post We are looking for an individual to join the Research and Knowledge Exchange Office to lead and enhance the support for the development, submission, and successful delivery of Knowledge Transfer Partnerships (KTPs). You will provide support, advice, and strategic insight to academic colleagues across the university on identifying KTP opportunities, working with external organisations, and developing high-quality applications. You will play a key role in matching university expertise with industry needs, ensuring alignment with institutional research and knowledge exchange priorities. You will oversee the full KTP lifecycle, from early-stage discussions and proposal development to financial monitoring, contractual oversight, and project completion. You will be expected to work closely with the East of England KTP Advisor and establish strong relationships with key stakeholders, especially Innovate UK. Your role will also involve organising and delivering knowledge exchange events, seminars, and networking opportunities to promote academic engagement and collaboration. You will also support other knowledge exchange funding initiatives, as our research and knowledge exchange activity grows. Why Join Us? We oversee key research-related concordats and initiatives, including the HR Excellence in Research Award, Concordat for Research Integrity, Athena Swan, COARA, and other frameworks that promote research integrity, equality, and responsible research assessment. These initiatives ensure that our university upholds best practices in research culture, inclusivity, and collaboration. About You We are looking for a proactive, organised, and strategic individual with: Knowledge and experience of establishing KTPs and supporting the delivery of KTPs. Experience of managing projects and partnerships that support strategic objectives, with demonstrable experience in delivering growth in KE engagement and income. Detailed knowledge of the innovation funding/knowledge exchange landscape in Higher Education (nationally and internationally), including experience with Innovate UK Experience of designing and supporting delivery of research and knowledge exchange projects.
