In this role you will be offering both general and trauma counselling working with clients over an agreed period of time. Your base will be The Weltech Centre, Welwyn Garden City, however you may be required to work from satellite hubs or offer remote counselling sessions online.
You will have a minimum of 1 year post-qualifying experience, preferably with experience of working therapeutically with people who have had traumatic experiences.

Main Duties
* Provide short or long-term counselling to clients
* Maintain adequate records of clinical work
* Act where necessary to safeguard clients
* Follow TRCIC's policies and procedures
* Work within the ethical guidance of the National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society
* Work within agreed boundaries, maintaining Trauma Recovery CIC values
* Commit to and work from a trauma-informed perspective, adhering to anti-discriminatory practice
* Attend and fully engage with clinical and case supervision
* Attend and fully engage with team meetings and 121's
* Have a clear awareness of and comply with TRCIC's policies, procedures, and service standards
* Attend and log any TRCIC mandatory training events and maintain a training portfolio of continuous professional development
* Anything else that your team leader or TRCIC ask you to do that fits within the values of TRCIC and NCPS
Minimum Qualifications
* Minimum level 4 qualification in Counselling/Psychotherapy (if working with CYP, qualification must cover CYP)
* Training must have included 100 hours minimum supervised placement within an agency/organisation and 300 hours live counselling training with an organisation recognised by and course accredited by NCPS/BACP/UKCP
* Experience of providing in-person and online counselling for the relevant age group
* Full membership (not student) with a PSA approved regulatory body for example NCPS, BACP, UKCP
* A clear enhanced DBS check registered with the live checking service and references
* Lived experience of trauma
* Experience of using a client management system
