When you join Your Trust as an Assistant Finance Manager, you will be part of a charity based in Rochdale that aims to support every member of our diverse community to live their best life; inspiring them to be healthier, happier, and creative people. The purpose of the job is to provide a professional, efficient, and high-quality service to customers of Your Trust. This includes supporting the Finance Manager in overseeing creditor and debtor systems, providing support, data, and information to Finance and Teams across the organisation in terms of budgets, forecasting, income and expenditure and sales, providing timely dashboards and consolidated reports, highlighting key trends and information, and support with month and year-end procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support the Finance Manager in overseeing creditor and debtor systems.
* Provide support, data, and information regarding budgets, forecasting, income and expenditure, and sales.
* Prepare timely dashboards and consolidated reports, highlighting key trends and information.
* Assist with month and year-end procedures.
Minimum Requirements:
* Part qualified to CCAB Professional Accountancy Standard or qualified by experience.
* Extensive experience of working in a finance area, e.g., management accounts or accounts payable.
* Experience of analysing numerical data and using a range of business information tools.
* Experience of supervising a team's activities on a day-to-day basis.
* Ability to interpret complex data and present information in an easily understandable format.
* Comprehensive knowledge of double entry bookkeeping.
* Knowledge of computerised E-Procurement systems.
* Ability to recruit, train, develop, mentor, and supervise a team of people, including setting targets and motivating staff to achieve.
* Ability to manipulate and present financial information, e.g., pivot tables and lookups.
* Excellent level of numeracy and literacy skills.
* Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, and excellent interpersonal skills.
Salary: Band 5, £32,625 - £36,889 per annum (pro-rata for part-time)
Hours: 30 - 37 hours per week (flexible)
