The Vacancy
Paradigm Housing Group is seeking a highly organised and detail focused Governance Officer to play a key role in supporting our governance and compliance functions to support our Board, Committees, and Executive Team. This 12-month fixed-term contract has arisen due to an internal ongoing project within the team, offering an exciting opportunity to contribute to governance and company secretarial services.
What You'll Do:
1. Provide professional governance support, including agenda planning, meeting coordination, minute-taking, and action tracking.
2. Manage independently a portfolio of Committee work and assist the Head of Governance with Board and Executive meetings as required.
3. Assist with managing annual governance timetables, the board member learning and development programme, and other activities to support board members as needed.
4. Maintain accurate governance records and ensure timely compliance filings with regulatory bodies.
5. Support governance-related training and provide advice on policies, procedures, and best practices.
6. Act as a key user of the Diligent digital portal (system training provided).
7. Assist with legal document execution and maintain company records.
What You'll Bring:
1. Experience in governance and company secretarial duties.
2. Strong organisational skills with the ability to take clear, concise, and accurate minutes.
3. Strong attention to detail and ability to manage confidential information with discretion.
4. Proficiency in Microsoft Office is essential and experience using governance software would be advantageous.
5. Knowledge of governance, housing, or charity sectors would also be advantageous.
