Job Description
As part of a Pan-Defence initiative, the Corporate Services Modernisation (CSM) Portfolio, will reform how everyone in Defence does their day-to-day corporate activities. MOD has embarked on an ambitious journey to transform its Shared Services Operating Model (SSOM) to deliver the best user experience, better and faster data driven decision making and improved productivity and efficiency from its shared services operations.
This role reports to the Deputy Head of Strategy and Plans. It is responsible for working collaboratively with the DBS and CSM Comms team professionals, as part of multi-disciplinary teams, to deliver key engagement activities associated with implementing the new shared services operating model. This will require developing a plan to engage with all relevant stakeholders; collating and inputting to communications materials; and ensuring that we communicate effectively to our employees, customers and across the wider portfolio.
Specific Responsibilities Include But Not Limited To:
* Champion the use of best practice and provide expert advice for team members and programme community.
* Assess and understand the impact on stakeholders to improve the likelihood of their adoption of the change.
* Assess and understand the impact on stakeholders to improve the adoption of the new org. design and operating model.
* This is a fast-paced programme of work. The incumbent will be required to be adapt to changing priorities in support of the wider SSOM team.
Stakeholder Engagement:
* Develop and maintain an overarching Stakeholder Map identifying key stakeholders and associated requirements for each key stakeholder group and feeding in data and insight to DBS Communications Team who will own and develop all associated communications output.
* Develop and monitor a work plan to collate critical information by working closely with key stakeholders. To identify and shape opportunities for engagement directly and engaging DBS Communications leads in order for them to develop communications products against this plan.
Communications Content And Understanding:
* Lead on identifying potential communications requirements and working closely with DBS Communications lead to enable them to create relevant, engaging content in-line with the DBS Communications Strategy.
* Undertake regular reviews to ensure that communications are understood and acted upon whilst sharing insight with DBS Communications so they can consider such feedback in future products.
* Work closely with wider DBS colleagues and other MOD stakeholders to ensure that documents are based on robust, clear evidence, analysis and data.
