Customer Service Specialist
Location: Bar Hill, Cambridge
Salary: Up to £28,000 per annum
Holidays: 25 days plus bank holidays
Hours:
1. Monday to Thursday: 8:30 AM - 4:45 PM
2. Friday: 8:30 AM - 12:30 PM (with a 30-minute lunch break)
Contract: Initially temporary for 12 weeks, leading to a permanent position.
Benefits: Free onsite parking, and a £1,500 bonus upon passing probation after six months of permanent employment.
About the Role
We're on the lookout for a Customer Service Specialist to join a thriving team in Bar Hill, Cambridge. This is a pivotal role within the manufacturing sector, perfect for someone who is driven, detail-oriented, and passionate about delivering outstanding customer experiences.
Responsibilities:
1. Build and nurture relationships with customers through email and Teams, ensuring their needs are met with professionalism.
2. Manage customer queries, processing orders, and handling changes to POs, returns, repairs, and rework orders.
3. Collaborate with internal departments to resolve shortages, coordinate delivery schedules, and address escalations.
4. Maintain accurate records in internal systems, including price lists, quotes, and technical documentation.
5. Analyze and update customer orders, ensuring clear communication of changes.
6. Support stock audits, manage credit/debit notes, and assist in sales forecasting.
7. Propose and implement process improvements to optimize efficiency and enhance the customer experience.
About You:
1. A proactive, problem-solving attitude with excellent attention to detail.
2. Proficient in Microsoft Excel (essential).
3. Ability to interpret technical drawings and BOMs (preferred but not essential).
4. Experience using SAP or similar systems is advantageous.
5. Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
