Risk IT Project Manager The City Of London/Remote Contract £600 Per Day PAYE cer Financial are working alongside a mid - tier bank who are looking for a Senior IT Project Manager to join their team on a contract basis. The Senior IT project Manager is responsible for overseeing the delivery of software solutions predominantly in Risk Management space - using FusionRM. The successful candidate will have Risk experience - ideally credit risk, or operational risk, and/or system ownership capabilities, alongside tangible experience in banking. In addition to ensuring the day-to-day availability and performance of systems, the incumbent is also responsible for driving the systems development agenda across EMEA, interfacing directly with business management, collating business requirements (business analysis) and maintaining the ongoing book of work and project portfolio. The Responsibilities of a Senior IT Project Manager include: Being responsible for both project management and the oversight of a project portfolio that supports change across all areas of the business. Being responsible for Project Resource Management, Calculating and Managing Project Budgets, Managing External Vendors, Evaluating, appraising & Documenting solutions and prioritising backlogs. Managing the banks internal technology providers and Outsourced service providers to ensure delivery of production support and project deliverables. Ensuring applications where the incumbent is designated Service Owner are maintained and enhanced in line with business expectations. Leading, monitoring and maintaining progress of project plans in PRoPS and / or DevOps to ensure delivery of the key stages and goals within the agreed constraints of time, cost and quality. Accountable for creating and maintaining initial and scheduled due diligence on applicable vendor and service provider relationships as dictated by procurement policy. Accountable to Project Sponsor and Project Owner for designated Projects; communicating Risks, Issues and contingency plans Responsible for defining effective project communication strategies, consulting with key stakeholders and managing appropriate resources. Work closely with business teams, and senior leaders to develop a deep understanding of technology requirements and lead the development of strategic solutions. Appraise long term service problems and facilitate the definition and implementation of solutions to these problems to provide a continuous improvement to application reliability, performance, and quality for users. The successful Senior IT Project Manager will have: Risk/Finance domain and System Ownership skills would be valued over very senior pure PM/Program skills Operational risk experience, or experience of running credit risk systems - FusionRM would be beneficial but not essential Data Warehouse experience would also be beneficial and experience of BAU applications (maintaining existing systems). At least 10 years experience leading complex technology projects in the banking / financial services industry PRINCE2/PMI qualification, Agile accreditation or equivalent experience managing IT projects. Significant Project Management experience with a view to facilitating the definition of project missions, goals, tasks and resource requirements. Strong I.T. configuration and development experience and implementation in a formal SDLC environment.
