Description Finance Officer - Worksop B&Q GRADE M1 An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Finance Officer role with a major customer within the General Merchandising Sector. The role will be based in Worksop and reports to the Network Finance Manager. The Role: · As a key member of the contracts’ management team, responsible for assisting the Network Finance Manager in controlling all aspects of the Finance function ensuring accurate and timely reporting both to B&Q and Wincanton: · Preparation of Customer weekly accounts and KPI's including open book reconciliations · Completion of Wincanton weekly and month end accounts · Completion of Wincanton month end balance sheets and open book reconciliations · Assist with collation of annual budget and re-forecasts. · Production of monthly sales invoices and debt information · Support payroll / planning functions · Support cover of Finance Clerk and Network Finance Manager roles when required (holidays etc) · The role is hybrid with the requirement to be onsite 3 days per week. The Person: · Studying towards or part qualified (AAT, CIMA, ACA, ACCA), with a desire to continue and complete studies while in the role. · Strong analytical skills and attention to detail · Excellent organizational and time-management skills · Demonstrate drive, energy, and a commitment to creating best practice. · Be proactive, inquisitive with a passion for challenging teams to drive performance. · Be a confident communicator as the sole officer on site to represent finance & support, challenge and guide your operational colleagues. · Must be flexible and respond positively and accurately to internal and external customer requests. · Excellent customer relationship skills with the ability to develop good working relationships at all levels. · Have excellent PC skills (including Excel) and be able to understand and harness IT and systems to benefit the operation. · Able to travel to Doncaster as required on occasion. · High levels of personal drive, to both work independently and to balance the demands of a major contract.
