Job Description:
Teaching Personnel is currently looking for SEN Teaching Assistants to join one of our client schools in Glossop. This would be an ideal position for a Psychology Graduate looking to start a career in education or gain experience working with children with special educational needs.
For this position, it is essential that you are willing to apply for a fully enhanced DBS check and provide at least two employment-based references. It is also important that you are aware of safeguarding procedures.
This position will be full-time, starting in March. You will predominantly work on a one-to-one basis or with small groups of students who have autism, ADHD, or other moderate learning difficulties. A good understanding of the behavioural traits that the pupils may display, such as uncooperative behaviour, is necessary. Behaviour management is central to this position. 9% of this school’s student population receive additional SEN support, with 2% having an Educational Healthcare Plan (EHCP). Assisting pupils with their EHCPs will also be an important part of this position.
The salary for this position will be between £420 and £450 per week.
