Hours: Full-time (37.5 hours Monday to Friday), Permanent. You are expected to be flexible with these hours to suit business needs, for example during events.
Travel Required: Regular travel both in the UK and overseas.

About the role
As Senior 2D Designer you will be responsible for creating and visualising 2D solutions and overseeing all print for shows including budget management. You will take creative briefs and translate them into highly creative, conceptual designs and ensuring compliance with client brand and leading client meetings when required. You will be the design lead for temporary installations of all kinds from conferences, experimental events, music and film events and exhibitions, managing multiple projects at one time.
Your duties will include:
-Leading all design aspects of the largest events at Stagestruck
-Communicating with scenic and production on 2D elements of projects
-Maintaining supplier relationships
-Researching and presenting alternative solutions to the rest of the company
-Creating, visualising and artworking 2D solutions
-Be prepared to step in to resolve issues timely and efficiently whilst supporting the team at all locations
-Overseeing all print for shows
-Manage print installs on site and liaise with clients ensuring client and Stagestruck standards are met
-Direct and manage install teams onsite
-Delivering presentation material, both print and on-screen
-Travel to client/event locations may be required from time to time, including overseas travel.
-All other tasks as instructed by your line manager.
-You may also be given other administrative tasks from time to time depending on the needs of the business
-You will mentor other 2D designer(s) within the department
-Design lead for projects directing across multiple departments which includes 3D, 2D, CAD and Scenic ensuring communication in maintained production team
-Assisting the Content and Digital team creating screen and stream content for virtual and hybrid events.

Experience & Qualifications
-Be an expert in Adobe CC suite in particular Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign
-Have experience in large and small format artworking
-Have industry knowledge to understand build process and print substrates and materials
-Have a good working knowledge of Microsoft 365 products in particular PowerPoint
-Have experience in leading or being ‘number 2’ for large events
-Have experience of managing print budgets of up to £200k
-Full UK driving licence, own transport and current passport required due to the nature of our business.
