Job Title: Female Support Worker
Location: Canterbury
Salary: £11.44 per hour
Hours: Full Time - 37.5 hours a week
Please note: we are unable to offer sponsorships at this time.
For genuine occupational reasons: we are looking to appoint a female candidate only (exemption under the equality act 2010 part 1 schedule 9).
At Aspirations, we provide personalised support that leads to positive outcomes for adults who need our help most. Our goal is clear; to give those who need our support the confidence, encouragement, and independence they need, enabling them to work towards a future they deserve.
You will play a key role in the service, using your knowledge and skills to work as part of a team providing support for individuals with learning disabilities, mental health, and autism. You will be responsible for helping with the challenges of everyday life, such as household tasks and domestic duties, whilst engaging socially in exciting hobbies within the local community. All in all, enabling our people to live their best life!
We are looking for a support worker to support one of the five people we support at our supported living service in Canterbury. Each person has their own individual flat and requires 1:1 support throughout the day. This includes but is not limited to support with personal care, support to eat and drink, and medication administration.
The people’s ages range from 22-82, and they all enjoy a range of different activities. We support three ladies and two gentlemen, which include swimming, going to the cinema, out for meals or a coffee. They also enjoy arts and crafts, films, musicals, music events, and the theatre.
The people we support have their own wheelchair-adapted vehicles, so a driver is preferred but not essential.
