The department The Ipswich Commercial Real Estate team at Birketts is expanding its core team We are seeking a Team Administrator to come and join us. The role will be based from our Ipswich office in Providence House. You will join the highly successful Utilities Team which has nationwide clients throughout the UK and presently consists of 14 fee earners and 3 secretaries. We need to extend and recruit additional team members to take forward our ambitious plans for the future. You will join a niche team who deal with conveyancing transactions for utility network operator clients. The team specialise in high volume, time-critical property transactions for IDNOs/DNOs, gas transporters, fibre providers, water incumbents, EV providers as well as assisting developer clients with their utility transactions. Accountabilities Playing an important role within the Commercial Real Estate Utilities team you will be responsible for: File opening including checking compliance requirements, setting up paper and e-files and folders and conflict searches; Scanning and photocopying of hard copy correspondence and documents and e-filing on our document management system; Printing and preparing documents for signature; Being proficient in a variety of software packages such as Microsoft Word and Excel to produce correspondence, documents and spreadsheets; File closing and other administration in accordance with our client’s requirements and compliance standards; Dealing with paperwork with our Accounts team for the processing of payments. Arranging meetings and appointments; Scheduling and managing deeds to ensure records are kept up to date. Downloading, saving on our document management system and printing documents from datarooms. The Candidate will be working closely with the existing Team Administrators to service the team. The candidate The role would suit an individual who enjoys working as part of a team to help provide professional support to fee earners and the existing support team. You will be enthusiastic and well organised individual with a positive attitude and excellent communication skills.
