As a Food Service Assistant at HMRC Nottingham NG2 2GD, you're a real people person with excellent communication skills. Mainly customer facing, you'll interact with our clients and colleagues every day, improving the quality of life for all that you meet.
What you’ll do:
1. Manage the coffee shop and provide support in the preparation, cooking, and serving of food and beverages.
2. This is a dual role that would require you to also work in our Hospitality department.
3. Lead shifts when assigned by line manager, taking responsibility for delivering brand standards in, but not limited to cash management.
4. Open the unit, prepare for the shift, close the unit, manage orders, monitor and deliver high standards of customer service, and accept deliveries.
5. Perform the role of float where required.
6. Train all new team members to Barista level using appropriate training material.
7. Check the quality of the espresso by accurately measuring & recording the grind & dose.
8. Ensure all drinks are made and served to brand standard.
9. Support the team throughout the shift to ensure delivery of service to brand standard.
10. Identify any gaps in training and undertake any training as required.
11. Ensure all coffee equipment is in good working order and report any faults as required.
What you bring:
1. Positive attitude, professionalism, and respect for others.
2. Basic food-handling skills.
3. No previous experience required.
4. Fully trained to Barista standard with a full understanding of brand standards.
5. Literate & numerate.
6. Ability to communicate effectively with customers, clients & staff.
7. Passionate, friendly, and diligent.
8. Ability to work with a team and on own initiative.
9. Flexible approach to the role.
