We are looking for a finance assistant, bookkeeper or accounts clerk on a temporary basis to fill a current vacancy in the team. We are growing quickly and need someone with the drive, tenacity and passion to help establish best of practice approach and efficient provision of day to day financial management. Reporting to the Finance Controller the successful candidate must have proven experience in AR, AP and good finance practice. This is a hand on role and you will be responsible for a range of activities including being the main point of contact for customers, processing customer contracts, billing and managing supplier communication and payments. This function also supports the Head of Operations in the day to day running of the business. You will manage issues and escalations and ensure a high degree of customer satisfaction and robust finance process management. Job Types: Part-time, Temporary Salary: £24,000 Immediate Start Available The core duties of this position on a daily basis will include; Preparation of monthly management accounts, investigating variances and monitoring performance Providing in depth analysis relating to business performance and producing reports on a timely basis Ensure that month end processes are completed accurately and within the required timescale Monitoring departmental budgets Maintain the fixed asset register Supporting senior management staff and attending meetings Monitoring and processing transactions Liaising with external suppliers and managing the software orders To be responsible for the payroll function Maintaining an efficient, high standard of work Skills and Qualifications A proven track record within Finance Strong communication and organisational skills Strong IT skills Professional qualification (AAT or equivalent) [Desirable] Experience of developing and operating financial systems and processes, Experience with a range of software and tools including Sage 200, Sage Intacct and Power BI {desirable] Ability to understand, analyse and interpret financial data [Essential] Ability to work independently and as part of a team [Essential] Strong attention to detail and ability to produce work at a high level of accuracy [Essential] Leadership and management experience What do we offer? 23 days holiday (increasing to 26 days) plus bank holidays.
