School Meals Supervisory Assistant & PE Helper
16 hours per week, term time only
Full Time Equivalent salary £27,729 (pro-rata to £8,509)
Thomson House School is looking for an enthusiastic and reliable person with a courteous, friendly, and approachable nature to join our lunchtime team part-time, and support our teachers in some of our PE lessons. The post is 5 days per week, Monday to Friday, from 11:30 – 13:30, plus three afternoons 13:30 – 15:30 (currently Monday, Tuesday and Thursday, but are subject to change), term time only. If you have an interest in working with children and would also like a part-time job as a stepping stone into a school, then this may be the ideal opportunity for you. You will be asked to attend some Inset Days during the academic year, where you may need to be available at a different time to those stated above, but not all.
We are seeking an SMSA who can provide care and supervision of the children during their midday meal, and support some PE lessons. We welcome enthusiastic candidates who enjoy working with children. The ideal applicant will be responsible and assertive, respond calmly and quickly to developing situations, respect school policies and guidelines, and be able to respond to the children’s needs.
