Job Title: Plant Coordinator\n Department: Internal Site Delivery Team\n Location: Birmingham \n Salary: £30,000\n Contract Type: Permanent\n\nRole Purpose The Plant Coordinator will play a key role in the smooth coordination and delivery of plant and equipment across various projects. This role requires an individual who can manage day-to-day plant requests, ensure timely delivery and off-hire processes, and maintain accurate plant records while liaising with both internal teams and external suppliers.\n Key Responsibilities\nCoordinate plant and equipment requests in line with project requirements and site programmes\nAct as the key point of contact between site teams, the internal commercial and planning departments, and external suppliers\nMonitor and manage plant movements, ensuring optimal utilisation and cost-efficiency\nMaintain accurate and up-to-date hire logs, delivery/collection records, and reporting systems\nEnsure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards related to plant operations\nAssist in managing disputes or discrepancies relating to plant hire charges and equipment usage\nSupport commercial teams with cost tracking and plant-related invoicing queriesAbout You Essential\nStrong numerical, organisational and analytical skills\nExcellent negotiation, influencing, and presentation skills\nIT literate with proficient use of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.)\nExperience in plant control, hire desk operations, or working within a plant hire environmentDesirable\nKnowledge and understanding of construction and/or civil engineering environmentsWhat We Offer\nA supportive team environment\nOpportunities for training and development\nCompetitive salary and benefits package\nExposure to large-scale infrastructure projects and collaborative frameworks
