Machine Tool Customer Support Manager
Salary: £65K - £70K + bonus + company vehicle + other benefits (Salary is dependent on experience, skill level etc).

About the Role:
Are you experienced in leading a team of Service Engineers and managing a Technical Support Help Desk? Do you have Machine Tool experience? Are you interested in joining a Midlands-based engineering company that is recognised for excellence in the industry? This role is ideal for an Engineering Manager with a strong background in engineering and customer support, who is looking to contribute to a reputable and dynamic company. There will be occasional travel to customer sites with an occasional overnight stay.
The company supplies high-speed machine tools to a wide variety of precision engineering companies in the Aerospace, Automotive, Power generation, Oil and gas, and Motorsport sectors. They provide excellent training to their customers and internal staff.
Responsibilities:
1. Support machine tool sales and warranties.
2. Manage the technical helpdesk.
3. Assist service engineers with onsite customer issues.
4. Support regional team leaders.
5. Provide diagnosis and root cause analysis for service issues.
6. Motivate and mentor the service team.
7. Exhibit good commercial awareness and negotiation skills.
Requirements:
1. Proven experience in managing a team of service engineers and technical support staff.
2. Strong commercial acumen with effective customer service and negotiation skills.
3. Engineering Management experience is essential, with a preference for candidates with machine tool knowledge.
4. Engineering degree preferred but not essential.
5. UK driving license required.
6. Health and Safety awareness; IOSHH or equivalent certification would be an advantage.
7. Candidates need to be IT literate.
