Midlands Partnership NHS Foundation Trust has an opportunity to join our Adult Acute Mental Health Ward at Redwoods Centre Shrewsbury as a band 5 nurse. Birch ward is a 16 bedded mixed gender adult acute admissions ward providing treatment and care for a wide range of mental health illnesses to patients who are of working age.

Main duties of the job
* Delivering a high quality clinical service to patients and their families.
* Acting as named nurse to a group of patients under the direction/supervision of the person identified with continuing responsibility.
* Participating in therapeutic group work programmes.
* Responsible for the assessment of care needs and contributing to the formulation of the person's needs and the development of a relevant plan based upon the person's negotiated goals and relevant evidence-based interventions.
* In conjunction with the multi-disciplinary team, provide nursing interventions to support the person to meet their agreed goals and coordinate and/or participate in the review of progress towards those goals, utilising recommended outcome measures, involving the service user and any identified carer throughout the clinical process.

Qualifications
* Registered Nurse on NMC Register.
* Experience working as a nurse.
Experience
* Experience of providing care and interventions within a health setting including specialist mental health settings.
* Experience of working in a variety of healthcare settings and making decisions autonomously.
