The post-holder will be part of the Bowel Cancer Screening Team and will manage the day-to-day responsibilities for booking patients from the waiting list and maximizing clinic utilization, as well as undertaking other administration duties within the Bowel Cancer Screening Service. They will also be responsible for liaising with the Specialty Screening Practitioner to ensure that all patients requiring bowel screening are booked appropriately using Trust policies and procedures.
Main Duties of the Job
1. Working with the Specialist Nurse Practitioner to ensure all patients attending as part of the Bowel Screening Programme are accurately recorded.
2. Being responsible for the management and maintenance of the data center for the unit and national database for audit, research, and reporting processes.
3. Provide administrative support to the programme by coordinating and minuting Bowel Screening Programme meetings.
4. Responsible for scheduling clinics for the Specialist Nurse Practitioner.

Job Responsibilities
1. The post holder will ensure with the Programme Manager and Specialist Nurse Practitioner that appropriate colonoscopy services are scheduled.
2. Assist in ensuring patients are given appropriate appointments.
3. Undertake mandatory and other training as deemed necessary and participate in the training and induction of new staff.
4. Alert the management team of potential/actual breaches and assist in the investigation of cases and resolutions.
5. Participate in the development of appropriate policies for the Bowel Screening Programme.
6. To ensure that local systems are used correctly and high-quality data is maintained.
7. The post holder will assist in the management of the Bowel Screening waiting list and the ongoing management of patients.
8. The post holder will act as a link to the Bowel Screening Hub, ensuring all systems/bookings are in place to support the patients.
9. Work flexibly as part of the Endoscopy, Gastroenterology, and Bowel Cancer Screening teams, including any additional ADHOC administration duties that are requested.
Person Specification

* Basic Microsoft Office package knowledge
* Enhanced use of Word, Excel, and Outlook

Salary: £24,071 to £25,674 a year pro rata per annum.
