Who You Are You are an experienced professional with a background in call center operations or social care for the elderly. You possess excellent communication and computer skills, enabling you to effectively manage emergency situations. You are capable of working night shifts and are comfortable being both office-based and responding to situations in customers' homes. You are committed to supporting individuals in living independently while providing reassurance and safety. What the Job Involves As a Call Handler Responder, you will be a vital part of the Carelink team, providing call handling services and responding to emergency situations. Your duties will include: Handling support calls via installed alarm units and attached sensors 24/7. Assessing emergencies and coordinating appropriate responses, including contact with emergency services if necessary. Responding to emergencies, including lifting uninjured customers using provided equipment (full training provided). Carrying out safe and well checks for vulnerable individuals in the community. Installing and maintaining emergency call equipment in customers’ homes. You will work a series of five 7.24-hour shifts with a 36-minute unpaid break, on a rolling rota basis, including weekends and bank holidays. The shifts will be 07:00 am to 15:00 pm and 15:00 pm to 23:00 pm, totaling 37 hours per week. This role is based at the Gatehouse, Kedleston Road, Derby, with on-site parking available. The positions are temporary for a 12-week period.
