Senior Policy Manager
Location: Falmer, West Sussex (Hybrid – 2 days in office)
Hours: 37 hours per week
Contract: Permanent
Salary: £55,000

About the Role:
We are seeking a Senior Policy Manager to provide expert insight into emerging policy and regulatory changes, ensuring the company stays informed and proactive. You will play a key role in shaping strategy, influencing policy decisions, and engaging with stakeholders, including government bodies and regulators.
You will be responsible for monitoring legislative developments, providing policy advice to senior leadership, and ensuring that the company’s positions are well-represented in regulatory discussions. Additionally, you will coordinate internal policy groups and contribute to consultation responses that affect the company’s strategic direction.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Track and analyse policy and regulatory developments that impact the business.
2. Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including Defra, BEIS, and regulators.
3. Lead responses to consultations, white papers, and regulatory proposals.
4. Provide strategic insights to executives and the board to support informed decision-making.
5. Represent the company at industry events, working groups, and government meetings.
6. Ensure consistency in internal policy decisions and alignment with regulatory requirements.
7. Support internal teams with expert policy guidance and regulatory interpretations.
Skills & Experience:
8. Strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to present complex policy issues clearly.
9. Experience in a highly regulated environment, government body, or public affairs.
10. Excellent stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills.
11. Experience in writing technical policy documents and reports.
