A fully skilled and experienced maintenance technician, able to work as directed with the minimum of supervision. While the primary task is to undertake mechanical engineering works, the job holder is expected to have a flexible approach and be prepared to turn their hand to a number of building maintenance demands in other disciplines.
Responsibilities include:
1. Undertaking duties in respect of the maintenance of heating, plumbing systems, and other mechanical services and equipment in Trust premises.
2. Carrying out multi-skilled tasks on mechanical and electrical systems on Trust premises, within established competence to meet service needs and assisting other trades such as electrical and building technicians.
3. Supporting and deputizing for the assistant managers short term when required (e.g., annual leave, training).
4. Assisting in the smooth running of the maintenance team and department.
5. Being prepared to undertake work at alternative Trust sites.
Must be a Level 3 plumber.
