We are looking to recruit a Contract Manager to work on our Waverley contract. This position will report to the Assistant Operations Director and will have responsibility for managing the contract, leading and motivating the team to ensure financial and operational expectations are met, or exceeded.
PURPOSE OF THE POST
1. Take an active lead in the development of new business from existing or new streams of work in line with agreed targets.
2. Develop a strong and sustainable management and supervisory team able to manage current operations with capacity to absorb new business.
3. Build sustainable working relationships, engaging with client managers to ensure company initiatives are understood.
4. Actively lead the management of Health and Safety in the workplace.
5. In conjunction with the senior management team, develop the service offer to grow the business in line with agreed targets.
Experience
1. Extensive proven experience managing at a senior level in the public or private sector.
2. Experience of working to high standards and leading a team of Managers.
3. Experience of handling difficult contractual situations.
Skills, knowledge and ability
1. Excellent understanding of managing individual, team and area, financial and operational performance.
2. Detailed knowledge of Health and Safety regulations and safe working practices.
3. Detailed knowledge of street cleansing, grounds maintenance, hard and soft landscaping with the capacity to learn new skills to develop street cleansing and waste management opportunities.
4. Ability to deal effectively with people at all levels.
5. Excellent customer care skills/service delivery focused.
6. Ability to work on own initiative.
7. Credible, is a strong role model – ability to lead a team by example.
8. Good at finding solutions and getting the job done.
9. Honest and reliable.
Salary in range £45-50,000.
