ROLE – Procurement Administrator LOCATION – Chorley DEPARTMENT – Infrastructure CLEARANCE – BPSS Working for NSG NSG Environmental Ltd has been delivering work programmes in the nuclear industry for over 40 years. Traditionally in the areas of decommissioning and waste management, NSG now has a broad customer base and provides a wide spectrum of services across the nuclear project lifecycle, ranging from expert consultancy support, R&D and engineering design to rekit and refurbishment, site installation services and high-hazard physical decommissioning works, amongst others. This work is delivered at NSG’s own offices and purpose-built facilities and nuclear sites across the UK. The delivery and management of these projects and programmes of work is carried out by a skilled workforce composed of both white-collar and blue-collar personnel in technical, administrative, and physical roles. The Role To provide procurement and administration support as directed by the Head of Commercial and Procurement Lead. Purchasing Ensure all procurement administration tasks are actioned efficiently and effectively through the management of the Procurement Mailbox. Placement of Purchase Orders. Liaising with the Accounts Department to remedy invoice queries. Upkeep of Supplier information in line with the Approved Supplier List. Support the Procurement Lead in the management, control, authorisation, and retention of documents relating to Procurement. Provide procurement support to projects including sourcing supplier information that could reduce cost / improve delivery of supply. Processing of Payment Certificates through liaison with Project Managers and Cost Engineers. Assisting with goods inwards process as required. Interface with supplier and subcontractors. Collaborate across multiple departments both internally and externally always striving to develop the Supply Chain, reduce Business risk and explore new opportunities. Qualifications and Skills GCSE/NVQ level 2 qualification in appropriate subjects including: English, Maths, and IT- Essential NVQ level 2 (or equivalent) in subjects relevant to the role- Desirable Level 2 Health & Safety in the Workplace or equivalent- Relevant training will be provided if required Experience & Knowledge Routine recording and reporting of information both verbal and numerical- Essential Create and operate databases for storage and retrieval of information- Essential Commercially aware- Desirable Use of purchase order systems- Desirable Working to tight timescales- Desirable Aware of procurement systems & processes- Desirable Skills & Abilities Maintenance of database/ spreadsheets and physical records and files - Essential Interpretation, allocation and posting of accounting data- Essential Preparation of routine letters, simple reports etc- Essential
