DESCRIPTION

Shift Rota
Weekend shift only, 37.5 hours per week, rotating between 7.00am – 7.00pm and 7.00pm – 7.00am with shift allowance.
RESPONSIBILITIES
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
* Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of Emissions Measurement Equipment and related systems, with the ability to diagnose and repair issues effectively.
* Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to assess safety risks, prioritize tasks, and make decisions that enhance productivity and equipment availability.
* Effective Communication: Skills in communicating with employees to understand issues and coordinate with external suppliers for parts and services.
* Adaptability and Independence: Capability to work independently with limited supervision, manage a 24/7 shift schedule, and respond to equipment breakdowns promptly.
QUALIFICATIONS
Responsibilities
* The role involves a combination of primarily responding to Emissions Measurement Equipment breakdown along with servicing of equipment and ancillary systems. The priority of the job is to ensure that all emissions measurement equipment is in a position to run tests.
* Once all emissions measurement equipment is functional, the priority is to aid in supporting the actual engine tests.
* The Job Holder will be required to work on the 24/7 shift arrangements and, together with the other teams, provide a 24/7 support of the maintenance and breakdown activities. The Job holder will be required to work independently and with limited supervision. They will be responsible for prioritising their own work in line with work objectives and make decisions that will increase productivity across the site.
* The job holder is responsible for a wide range of duties. This includes maintenance of Test Cell Emissions Measurement Equipment and Support Systems to planned regimes, breakdown support as well as assist with guidance in the running of engines tests.
* The role requires the job holder to give particular attention to safety. They must first assess a problem and safety risks before tackling the repair. This involves talking to the employees (managers, operators or engineers) to understand the nature of the issue.
* Job holders may need to order parts, working with external suppliers to find the best price and quickest delivery time.
Required Qualifications
* HNC qualified in related field
* NVQ Level 3 or City and Guilds 2365 Level 3
