District Examiners are integral to the process of quality assuring all data flowing from the registration of births, still-births, marriages, civil partnerships and deaths in Scotland. They play a key role in supporting local authority registrars with interpreting and applying registration procedures as laid out in the NRS Registration Handbook.
Responsibilities
* Examine all entries in the birth, still birth, death, marriage and civil partnership registers for allocated local authorities to ensure the accuracy of these public records.
* You will deliver a high-quality service to support the delivery of key objectives, including preparing reports detailing accuracy rates, staffing figures and strategic issues for each of your local authorities.
* Building strong relationships, providing advice and support to customers and stakeholders to meet agreed timescales.
* In line with organisational priorities and needs, working as part of a flexible team to perform tasks and support colleagues within NRS.
