Job overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Cardiac Catheter Labs for a Band 6 Registered Nurse to join our dynamic and friendly team. If you are enthusiastic, flexible and passionate about cardiology then this would be an ideal opportunity for you to join our team.
The successful candidate will have cath lab experience at band 5 level.
As the successful candidate, you will be expected to work across both Northwick Park and Ealing Hospital, where there are three Cardiac Catheter labs and a day care unit on each site. You will support the band 7 Clinical Nurse Managers across the sites to maintain and audit the quality standards for the areas and support with staff management.
Main duties of the job
Working within the cardiac cath labs and day cares to deliver high quality care to patients undergoing cardiac procedures. You will be trained to work in both the day care and the cardiac cath labs and be a scrub nurse for procedures.
Person specification
* Educated to degree level or desire to do
* Current registered nurse with NMC
* Practice assessor and supervisor qualification
Knowledge & Experience
* 2 years experience in cardiology
* Effective written and electronic communication
* Experience in implementing improvement in practice
Skills, Abilities and attributes
* Ability to work within the multi-disciplinary team
* Committed to providing the highest quality of care
* Self motivated and able to motivate a team
* Able to demonstrate application of expanded roles/skills within clinical setting.
