Our Engineers play a crucial role in the operation and maintenance of the entire plant at the Shapfell site and the role can vary widely. Our Mechanical Engineering craft are trained to be flexible, knowledgeable and highly skilled to operate on the scale and variety of machines and equipment not normally experienced in local industries. This is an opportunity to play a crucial role in the life cycle management of our unique equipment. You will maintain, repair, install and replace a wide range of mechanical equipment, ensuring that high performance and reliability is maintained, and that the highest safety standards are met. Exposure to duties will include the use of a computer based maintenance & stores systems, making equipment safe, following prescribed planned and preventative maintenance routines, fault finding and problem solving, breakdown response, as well as applying continuous improvement techniques. The role covers a wide range of disciplines and equipment including Multi disciplined mechanical & structural capabilities. All manner of industrial mechanical fitter skills including: Pneumatic and Hydraulic Systems Conveyors, screening, crushing & materials handling equipment Pumping, Washing and screening systems Automated plant and equipment Combustion equipment General mechanical infrastructure and buildings Locomotives & mobile plant Pressure systems, piped services and lifting equipment Gas fired Kilns and associated combustion control equipment Rail and road tanker loading equipment and rail track equipment Qualifications You must have, as minimum, 5 GCSE’s, grades A-C or grade 4–9, (Including Maths, English and Science/STEM Subject.) OR Have completed an enhanced engineering programme or equivalent (Level 3 subsidiary diploma in Engineering or NVQ Level 2 in performing engineering operations Benefits
