Job summary An exciting opportunity has opened up to develop in-depth experience of managing the deployment of medical staffing to support the correct functions cross the Paediatric, Neonatal, Obstetric and Gynaecology Services. The post holder will provide the necessary support to the Directorate Management Team to help ensure an effective service will be provided to the clinical teams. This position can be demanding and will require attention to detail and the ability to communicate with internal/external bodies at all levels. Main duties of the job The post holder will be responsible for ensuring all medical rotas are co-ordinated effectively for the designated speciality, deploying junior medical staff as required to maintain service cover. Specifically: Supporting medical job planning, rota design and workforce planning. Supporting improved productivity for the directorate. Responsible for the administrative induction of new and temporary clinical staff. Responsible for compiling and maintaining an up-to-date speciality induction pack. Co-ordinating the attendance of junior medical staff (recording of absence and documentation of return-to-work interviews) Maintaining compliant and efficient medical rotas for all levels of medical staff in the designated speciality. Facilitation of rota monitoring. Responsible for the co-ordination of leave for all medical staff in the designated speciality. Co-ordinating and administrating junior doctor induction days. Co-ordinate and assist in the recruitment of junior medical staff.
