Your Role KBRs Estates Intelligence team are seeking a skilled Functional Test Analyst with hands-on experience in Test Automation to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will work in a fast-paced Agile environment, contributing to high-quality software delivery by designing, executing, and automating test cases. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, business analysts, and product owners, to ensure our applications meet the highest standards of quality and functionality. The role will report directly to the Estates Intelligence Release Manager, and will work closely with our Government clients to deliver all aspects of the User Acceptance Testing. They will need to be proactive, hands on, and quick to adapt to the new technologies and platforms used by Estates Intelligence. What We're Looking For Test Design and Execution: Analyse requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria to develop comprehensive test plans and cases. Execute functional, regression, and system integration tests to validate software functionality and performance. Collaborate with developers and product owners to understand features and develop robust testing strategies. Test Automation: Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using industry-standard tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cucumber, JUnit). Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to ensure timely feedback on software quality. Identify opportunities to enhance test automation coverage and efficiency. Agile Collaboration: Participate actively in release management ceremonies such as planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, and backlog grooming. Work closely with development teams to ensure timely and efficient test execution in a fast-paced delivery environment. Provide continuous feedback on the quality of the product and advocate for best practices in testing and quality assurance. Defect Management: Identify, log, and track defects in the defect management system, ensuring accurate documentation of issues and steps to reproduce. Work with developers to resolve defects and validate fixes through regression testing. Continuous Improvement: Contribute to the continuous improvement of testing processes, tools, and methodologies. Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in test automation and Agile testing. Required Skills & Qualifications Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in software testing, with a focus on functional testing and test automation. Proven experience in working within Agile development teams, with a strong understanding of Agile principles and methodologies. Hands-on experience with test automation tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cucumber, JUnit, TestNG). Experience in working with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab) and integrating automated tests into the build pipeline. Experiencing engaging directly with clients / product owners as part of the UAT process. ISTQB Certification or equivalent. Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of programming/scripting languages used in test automation (e.g., Java, Python). Familiarity with testing RESTful APIs using tools like Postman or REST Assured. Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git). Soft Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment. Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities. The role is hybrid and agile working practices, with requirement to regularly attend Leatherhead HQ, and occasional travel to Swindon National Service Hub and client sites (typically London).
