Overview of Role
We are looking for an experienced stores person to join the Aberdeen Stores Team. This permanent role reports directly to the Aberdeen Stores Manager. You will be responsible for ensuring that all parts from stores are controlled and ensuring the availability and delivery of parts and items to the engineering team and other departments to assist them in the return of aircraft to service in a timely manner.
The ideal candidate will have recent experience working within a stores environment (preferably in an aviation industry), and exhibit a proactive, self-driven attitude with a proven ability to support the stores team.
Key Responsibilities
The responsibilities outlined below are central to the role. Additional duties may arise as necessary, with appropriate training and support provided.
1. Tool control- issuing and return of all tools within the hangar facility using OASES.
2. Actioning parts requisitions/ Picking slips both internally and externally.
3. Returning items back into stock after aircraft checks or when no longer required.
4. Run minimum level reports for our various outstations and consolidate stock to ensure these are met.
5. Ensure stock levels are correct by running stock checks.
6. Consolidating all equipment and parts required for an aircraft on check as directed.
7. Liaise with other departments in stores for the shipping of items as required.
8. Loading and unloading of vehicles via forklift (Forklift training and licence not essential as can be provided).
9. Assist with other areas in the stores department when required.
10. Work, use, and communicate in accordance with agreed guidelines, processes, and systems both internally and externally.
Skills and Knowledge
• Preferably, experience in an aviation stores environment with a good understanding of stores procedures.
• Ability to prioritize, organise and manage tasks.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Positive, confident, and determined approach.
• High degree of self-motivation and ambition.
• Good numeracy skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Packages is necessary; prior experience with OASES (or similar software) would be beneficial.

Training and Experience
To be successful, having worked in an airline stores environment and/or having experience of the OASES IT system would be advantageous, but training will be provided. PC literacy is essential, as is the ability to communicate efficiently and be organised.
