About the role:
As a Recruitment Administrator, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our organisation’s talent pool, ensuring a seamless and positive experience for both candidates and hiring managers alike. You’ll be the first point of contact for internal and external recruitment inquiries, providing exceptional customer service throughout the recruitment journey.
Your responsibilities will include overseeing the smooth administrative process for recruitment and onboarding, ensuring we uphold best practices and stay aligned with equality, fairness, and employment legislation. In addition, you’ll get involved in exciting HR projects around Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI), and be a key player in driving forward organisational change initiatives.
Your day will be as varied and exciting as it is rewarding! From coordinating and facilitating interviews to offering expert guidance to hiring managers and recruitment panels, you’ll be at the heart of the action. You’ll help onboard new starters with enthusiasm, ensuring they feel welcomed and ready to thrive within our internal systems. And, as the first point of contact for recruitment-related queries, you’ll be handling a variety of incoming inquiries, bringing your problem-solving skills to the forefront as you keep everything running smoothly.
You’ll also play an essential role in delivering recruitment training, empowering our managers with the tools they need to hire the best talent. There is ample opportunity for the role to be worked from home, with an occasional need (e.g., 1-2 days per week) to attend our head office in King's Cross to facilitate interviews, attend team meetings and other business needs. Some weeks you may be entirely working from home, it is dependent on recruitment activity.
It is possible may be made permanent depending on internal restructures, it is likely this will be determined within 3 months of the post holder starting.
About you:
Demonstrable experience of working in a busy office environment within Recruitment/HR with experience of working with and maintaining HR and Recruitment systems, including but not limited to ATS (applicant tracking systems), payroll, HR and DBS services.
A strong understanding of the key administrative tasks carried out within a recruitment process and of the legal requirements of the recruitment process and HR department.
A pro-active approach and ability to work using own initiative.
Able to understand and follow written policies and procedures, maintain confidentiality and securely protect data with an attention to detail with the ability to process and update information accurately.
Strong time management skills, able to effectively manage workload, multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
Able to use MS Office package (particularly Word, Excel and Outlook) at an intermediate level.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills – able to communicate effectively verbally and in writing with a variety of people from candidates to hiring managers etc. and ability to work effectively as part of a team and build good working relationships at all levels.
