The opportunity
You will be responsible for the upstream ofprocurement activity, draftingprocurementstrategies, market category management and downstreamContractManagement as required. You will be directly reporting to theSupply ChainExecutive, as aSenior Supply Chain Specialistyou will be responsible forprocurementof goods, works and services including performance of largecommercialframework arrangements as well as maintaining long term value through partnership with important and strategicsupplierswhich are a large part of supporting EDF Energy Nuclear Operations fleet of Nuclear Power Stations.
This is a hybrid role, 2-3 days in our Gloucester Business Park office.

What you will be doing as a SeniorProcurementSpecialist…
ProcurementManagement:
Formulate and execute robustprocurementstrategies within a complexcommercialenvironment.
Engage in high-levelnegotiationswith premiersuppliersto secure optimal terms and conditions.
Guaranteethe timely and cost-efficient acquisition of goods and services.
Leverage extensive expertise to assess and selectsuppliersbased on quality, cost efficiency, and reliability.
Ensure comprehensive understanding, management, and communication ofsupply chainrisks to senior stakeholders and internal teams.Process Improvement:
Proactively identify and capitalise on opportunities for process enhancement withinprocurementand administrative operations.
Integrate industry best practices to elevate efficiency and operational effectiveness.
Optimise resource utilisation by streamlining workflows for both individual and team performance.Compliance:
Ensureprocurement activitiesadhere to relevant laws and regulations.
Monitor and enforce compliance with company policies and procedures.
Who you are...
Experience working within aprocurementandsupply chainenvironment.
Possess a high standard ofProcurementcompetence in key areas of sourcing, process knowledge,contractingskills andsuppliermanagement.
Negotiationskills that drive positive business outcomes and ability to influence at all levels.
Project management skills, product awareness,commercialacumen, financial awareness, risk, and opportunity management.
CIPS L4/5 qualification, working towards or equivalent standard is desired.
Must either hold Security Clearance or be a UK national eligible to obtain necessary clearances
