We’re looking for a Fire & Safety Manager to join our Assets and Compliance team in Peterborough or Bradford .
About the role and person:
* 35 hours per week
* Permanent
Our Fire & Safety Manager will ensure that fire and safety responsibilities are fully understood across the business so that our buildings and customers’ homes are safe and receive the best service. You will lead and inspire colleagues to ensure that a proactive approach to customer safety, in particular, fire and safety management, is fully embedded. Your objective will be to minimise risk by ensuring a proactive approach that no fire risk assessment is ever overdue and that all resulting remedial work is completed within target deadlines.

Salary
The spot salary for this post is £56,089 per annum for applicants who fully meet the requirements of the post. Applicants, who do not meet all the requirements of the post, will start 5% or 10% below the spot salary.
You’ll also receive an additional £1,250 essential car user allowance.

What skills/behaviours do you need to be a Fire & Safety Manager?
* Relevant professional qualifications or experience and excellent knowledge of Fire and Building Safety Regulations
* Experience of managing and leading a team in the delivery of all aspects of Fire Safety, whilst developing your team and promoting personal development
* An inspiring and dynamic communicator, who’s able to convey a clear vision of our approach to Fire and Safety
* Have a collaborative approach to working with colleagues across all areas of the organisation to achieve the best possible outcomes for customers
This role is subject to a successful DBS check.
Location
The successful candidate will be required to live within a commutable distance to our Bradford or Peterborough office with the flexibility to travel to sites across Accent operations as required.
We’re a keen promoter of agile working and encourage working from home, as long as we meet our customers’ needs.
We’ll provide you with the equipment and software you’ll need for the purpose of your role however it will be your responsibility to have an appropriate space to work from as well as a suitable broadband connection/provider.
Interview Process
Interviews will take place via Teams on 7 th November and will consist of a Presentation and Competency interview.
